Please note that any privacy statement posted on a YOU BELONG website specific to a YOU BELONG program or service will apply in addition to this Privacy Policy and in the event of any conflict shall prevail.

We will not ask you for any personal information which we do not need. The types of information we collect will depend on your relationship with us, and may include (but are not limited to):

YOU BELONG does not control those sites or their privacy practices, which may differ from this Privacy Policy. YOU BELONG does not endorse or make any representations about third party websites. DISCLOSING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

YOU BELONG uses third party providers for services such as payment processing, web hosting, web-based marketing and communication, IT support, data storage, backup and analysis.   These parties may capture and store your personal information outside of Australia. These third-party providers include (but are not limited to) Facebook, Google, Instagram, LinkedIn, MailChimp, Raisely, Donorbox, Stripe, Xero, Volaby) and may not be subject to your country of residence’s Privacy Act, but they will have their own privacy policies.

YOU BELONG has contracts in place to protect your personal information. Our third party providers may not use any disclosed details for any purpose other than to carry out the services they are performing for us.

YOU BELONG may need to transfer your personal information to other YOU BELONG entities in other countries for data storage, operational reasons or to satisfy certain requests you make. Your consent to such transfer is an inherent requirement when you provide your information to YOU BELONG.

CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

YOU BELONG does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children requiring parental consent and YOU BELONG does not target its websites to such children. YOU BELONG takes all reasonable steps to make sure your personal information is held securely and protected from loss, interference, unauthorised access or misuse. We generally store personal information in electronic databases. Some of these databases may be held on our behalf by third party data storage providers.

We use physical and technical processes to protect the confidentiality and security of information that we hold. We restrict access to information to staff who need to use the information and our databases and network servers have the appropriate security measures in place. We conduct regular access and security audits to ensure we follow our information and privacy procedures.

We only keep information for as long as we need it and destroy, return or de-identify when it is no longer required. We do this according to the terms of our funding contracts and our data retention and disposal procedures.
